RKD celebrating the Royal Wedding

Wednesday 23 May 2018

We had lots of fun in RKD last week preparing for our royal tea party in celebration of Prince Harry and Meghan's wedding at the weekend. We made buntings, coloured in the union jack for our flags and learned about all the different members of the royal family. We were very excited to be involved in the wedding by supporting the couple at Windsor Castle. We even got the chance to have a photo with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

RKD Preparations for the Royal Wedding

On Friday afternoon we downed our own crowns and sat in the garden for our tea party. In maths, children produced a pictogram to choose their favourite sandwich filling and their colour icing for their cupcake. The children decorated their own cakes and made their own sandwiches and enjoyed sitting in the garden with their friends. We were very excited to take part in celebrating the wedding of the year.

REO and the Royal Wedding

Monday 21 May 2018

REO had lots of fun celebrating the Royal Wedding, which they have been learning about all week. They helped make sandwiches and decorated cakes for their picnic as well as crowns and bunting to add to the festivities.

Nursery - A royal tea party

On Friday to celebrate the Royal wedding the Nursery children prepared for a royal tea party. We made hats in red, white and blue to wear. Then we made sandwiches. We chose our favourite filling from jam, lemon curd and cheese spread to spread on our bread. We also decorated fairy cakes with red, white and blue icing. Finally it was time for the celebrations. We enjoyed our tea party and finished off the celebrations with some dancing.
