Pupils in Year 1 were very creative last week
investigating a new book. After exploring a range of vegetables such as crunchy
carrots , rough runner beans and of a gigantic turnip, the children predicted what the story could
be about. Having discovered the book was called ‘The Gigantic Turnip’ they put
their acting skills to the test by recreating the story... much to their great
delight! Finally, the week concluded
with using observational skills to sketch the variety of vegetables.
