On Friday we held a coffee and and cake morning in aid of
the Macmillan Cancer Fund. The staff donated money to
enjoy the tasty treats that everyone had bought in. We had also
held a raffle to win a Macmillan cuddly toy and Minion cake. Congratulations to the winners!

'Helping Your Child to Succeed'
Thank you to all the parents and carers of pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 who have recently attended the meetings 'Helping Your Child to Succeed'. We hope the meetings were useful and provided the right information to enable you to feel confident continuing to support your children as they continue their learning journeys in their new classes.
For those parents who were unable to attend, the
presentations used in the meetings are available below.
New Reception Classes
We are delighted that the new children have all settled so well into their reception classes. They have become familiar with their classrooms and have been busy exploring the outside learning environment. Children have already been picking up routines and finding out the names of their new friends!

The Rugby World Cup was launched at Hilldene today with
every class learning about a particular country taking part. Over the next few
weeks each class will be finding out about their country and keeping track of
how they are doing in the competition. Mr Jones and Miss Wells have also
started a Tag Rugby Club at lunchtime which the children thoroughly
enjoyed...it may take Mr Jones a little longer to recover though!
