New KS2 Playground Markings

Tuesday, 25 February 2020

There were lots and lots of excited faces in the Key Stage 2 playground yesterday morning, on our return to school after the half term holiday. The reason – new playground markings to explore for all the children, including a snakes and ladders game, an active zone and a new 5-a-side football pitch.

As you can see from the images below, despite the 'miserable’ weather at breaktime, the children still managed to really enjoy interacting with the new playground markings. Let’s hope the weather improves this week, so the children can continue to explore and enjoy these new resources...

Books for Schools Campaign

Tuesday, 26 November 2019

Don’t forget The Sun – Books for Schools Campaign has now started. Please help us to collect as many tokens as we can to earn as many books as we can for our children. See the full details below:

Exciting news – the school have registered to take part in a Books for Schools Campaign organised by The Sun newspaper and HarperCollins books.
All we need to do as a community is to collect 3,500 tokens from The Sun and The Sun on Sunday newspapers between Saturday 23rd November and Saturday 18th January in order to qualify for 105 fantastic free Collins Big Cat books!
Collection Points in School
Early Years and KS1 - we are asking that children in these year groups give any tokens that they have collected at home into their teacher at the start of the school day and they will then place them in the collection box in the Year 1 area.
KS2 – children in these year groups can ‘post’ their tokens into the collection box that will be displayed in the KS2 Library area.
As we have shown with the recent Aldi’s Kit for Schools Campaign, when we work together as a community, we can achieve so much more for our children and their school – so, look out for the coupons when they start appearing in The Sun or Sun on Sunday newspapers from Saturday 23rd November and good luck everyone!
