2A - World Book Day

Friday, 6 March 2020

We have had a wonderful day celebrating World Book Day. All of the children looked fantastic and enjoyed the various different activities that we took part in. We used adjectives to describe our costumes and added conjunctions to make our sentences longer. What great fun!

2A - The Lorax Adventure

Wednesday, 4 March 2020

Yesterday, we went on a Lorax adventure. We visited lots of different places that we heard about in the story and described the setting. It was lots of fun to sketch what we could see and use adjectives to describe them. We had lots of fun on our adventure and some children said that they were explorers of the Lorax. 2A are very excited to see what other fun activities we will be getting up to for the rest of book week.

1Q - Harold Hill Library Visit

Tuesday, 10 December 2019

1Q had a wonderful morning visiting Harold Hill Library.

  • Before we went we found the library on a map and saw that it was very close to the school and easy to get to.
  • Then we checked the route using Google Maps to make sure that we all knew the way.
  • On the morning of the trip we got into groups and held hands with our partner to make sure we stayed safe.
  • At the library the librarian read us a fantastic story, which we all joined in with and she told us all about the different books in the library and how easy it is to join.
  • Finally we walked back to school excitedly talking about our experience at the library.

Now we can't wait to join the library because we all love reading!
