Reception children had a fantastic 1st day at school. They came into their classrooms confidently and enjoyed playing on our new climbing frame in the garden. 

 

 

 

Reception - Police and firefighter visits

Reception have had a very busy week with visits from PC Wayne and the firebrigade. PC Wayne talked to us about his job and showed us all the different police headwear and his uniform.  
We were able to sit inside the fire engine and firefighters talked about the fire engine and how they put out fires. 

REO - World Book Day

REO had lots of fun dressed as characters from Dr Seuss stories. We went for a tour around the school to look at all the wonderful displays, played games and read stories. We had a fantastic World Book Day! 

KS1 & Reception Maths Day Assembly

Maths Day has been very exciting in the infants this morning.  We celebrated Maths Day by having an assembly and carrying out a maths challenge. One child from every class was nominated to take part and they answered lots of number bond and multiplication questions. Miss Adcock was very impressed with how quickly and accurately everyone answered the calculations. Well done to all the children that took part! Happy Maths Day 😃

Reception - Chinese New Year

To celebrate Chinese New Year we tasted a variety of Chinese food including noodles, rice, prawn crackers and spring rolls. We used chop sticks.  We then spoke about our favourite Chinese food. 

Reception - Balance Bikes

Reception have been having fun in the garden, getting used to our brand new balance bikes. The children have been learning to push themselves along on the bikes and balance. They are getting really good at the bikes already.
