The Digital Leaders have been busy designing new online safety posters. They proudly put them up around the school to remind everyone about staying safe online.

Lacrosse tournament

Hilldene’s Lacrosse team participated in their first cluster tournament held at Drapers Brookside on Monday. Our team did extremely well and despite not losing a match, finished second to Drapers Brookside due to the number of goals scored.

Congratulations to all of the team...fantastic effort!

Year 5 - Stubbers 2016

Following a quiet night, all the children enjoyed a hearty breakfast before embarking on an action packed day of activities. With the sun smiling down on them they started the day positively and with plenty of enthusiasm!

Weekly Golden Book Winners

Every week, teachers identify 2 outstanding pupils in their class who have had a fantastic week either academically or socially or both! These pupils are entered into the Golden Book and are announced during our Friday morning celebration assembly. Our fabulous winners in the infants receive a certificate in assembly and parents of the 'golden' children in the juniors receive a letter home, informing parents of their child's fantastic achievement.

Year 5 - Visit Upton Park

On Friday 12 excited children from Year 5 travelled by train to visit Upton Park to coincide with the launch of a new reading project in school - the Premier League Reading Stars. During the day they met two authors and as you can see had a fantastic time!

Year 1 - Drama Workshop

Year 1 are learning about ‘Jobs’ this half term for their topic work. On Tuesday we attended a workshop which focused on ‘Jobs’ around our community. Pretending to be different characters, we acted out roles of different jobs, such as; doctors, fire fighters, lollipop ladies and many more. All of us had great fun sharing ideas about what we know already and learning new facts. On Monday we dressed up as what we would like to be when we grow up. We all had time to act out our chosen job and discussed with our friends why it is important.
All of us had a fantastic day!
