Despite the dramatic drop in temperature, all the children and staff have embraced the 'Stubbers experience' and thoroughly enjoyed all the activities so far. A warmer, quieter night last night with all children sound asleep by 9pm! Another busy day ahead and plenty of washing to bring home!

Welcome Back!

We hope that you had an enjoyable Easter holiday and welcome you back to what promises to be an exciting and busy summer term. Please see attached the jam-packed calendar of events that we have planned for the term.


Thank you for supporting your children in settling back into school life. Attendance at school and punctuality is extremely important for the children’s progress and attainment and we look forward to increasing numbers of children achieving 95% attendance this term.

With the summer term hopefully bringing with it summer sunshine, please remember to provide your child with a water bottle and sun cream when necessary.

Amazing Attendance in 1M

"On Wednesday in 1M we were really happy because we filled in our amazing attendance sheet! Mrs McKinnon said we had a choice to have a party or to have extra time on HMS Hilldene. We had a vote and it was a draw so Mrs McKinnon said she was so happy that we were allowed to do both! We played musical bumps and musical chairs! The winners were Dominikas, Harry, Ellie-Sue, Billy and Ava-Mai. Daisy , Lacey and Evie helped with the music. We had great fun and it was the best day ever!"

Mud Kitchen fun!

We have enjoyed using our new mud kitchen this week. Making delicious mud pies and cakes. We have been making up recipes and following these stirring, mixing, whisking, sieving and cooking.

A Fond Farewell
 
Last week, we bid a fond farewell to four members of our fantastic team of staff. We are grateful to Mrs Spicer, Mrs Ray, Miss Watson and Mrs Durrant for their continued hard work and support and their invaluable contribution to life at Hilldene over many years. I am sure you will join me in wishing them all the very best of luck in their future endeavours.
