Congratulations to all the pupils for their amazing acting skills and sensational singing and thank you to all the staff for making it all possible. Also not forgetting, a huge thank you to parents for their continued support.

Internet Safety - Beware what you share!

Tuesday, 2 December 2014

Year 6 have been learning about how to keep safe online. The dangers of revealing personal information were discussed positively, as well as the importance of telling an adult if something makes them feel uncomfortable. We also talked about the risks and benefits of social networking.

The children were so inspired they suggested making posters to help increase awareness of cyber safety for the rest of the school. Look out for them in the Junior building.

Each week outstanding performance, effort and achievement in P.E and sporting activities is identified by our qualified Sports Coaches and class teachers. Hilldene Band Together To Beat Bullying

During the week beginning on Monday the 17th November children at Hilldene took part in an anti-bullying week.  The theme of the week was Band Together to Beat Bullying.  We started with an assembly exploring our feelings and emotions towards bullying.  Lessons took place throughout the school to help develop the children's understanding of bullying and what we can do together to prevent it.  As part of the week each child created a link which was used to form a giant chain expressing what friendship is.
