Nursery have been celebrating Chinese New Year for the past 2 weeks, we have been busy with lots of different activities. We have enjoyed Chinese colouring and have gotten creative making different types of dragons, lanterns and fans. The oriental blocks have helped us to create amazing buildings and we have used the ribbons to dance to lots of different types of oriental music. We made special hats to celebrate and ate delicious Chinese food and even had a go at using chopsticks! We now know what a Wok is and what it is used for and have played a game with one to help our fine motor skills. We finished the celebrations by visiting the whole school doing the 'Dragon Dance' with the giant dragons we made.

2A - AMAZING ATTENDANCE

2A have been striving to be better with their attendance. As a result of their hard work and determination we gained all of our letters on our chart. We had a reward party on Friday afternoon and enjoyed eating cake and playing musical bumps. Well done 2A! Keep up the hard work.

Nursery - Crabs

Friday morning Mr Winch visited Billingsgate Fish Market and got some live Crabs, Whelks and Prawns. We watched some videos about different types of crab and then had a look at the ones Mr Winch had chosen. We learnt that the male crab are called cocks and the female are called hens, we also looked at where the crab had lost their legs and were growing new ones. We were all fascinated and enjoyed watching them move their claws.
