The online safety unit this half term has been about the different ways people communicate online and what is meant by ‘personal information.’

The children have learnt that anyone online that they don’t know in real life is a stranger and what to do if someone online asks them for personal information. The children will be bringing home a Family Online Action Plan – please discuss this and fill it in with your child.

Culture club

During the Spring term the children in Culture Club have been learning about China. They have learned about it's history, culture and traditions. They learnt to write in pencil, tried different speci​alities of the country using chopsticks and made Chinese lanterns.

Reception and Year 1 Easter Bonnets

Well done to all the children for making their fantastic Easter Bonnets. They proudly showed them off in class and assembly. Happy Easter!

Decorated Eggs

With Easter on our doorstep, our creative children in Year 2 to Year 6 proudly presented their entries for this year's 'Decorated Egg Competition'. Without a doubt, the imagination and skill that the pupils demonstrate when creating these 'eggcellent' eggs is amazing. Congratulations to all of the pupils who entered.

Golden Book Winners

Every week, teachers identify 2 outstanding pupils in their class who have had a fantastic week either academically or socially or both! These pupils are entered into the Golden Book and are announced during our Friday morning celebration assembly. Our fabulous winners in the infants receive a
certificate in assembly and parents of the 'golden' children in the juniors receive a letter home, informing parents of their child's fantastic achievement.

JTA Trip

On Friday 5th April, our JTAs, along with their counterparts from Hylands Primary School, visited The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford as part of their involvement in the latest Taking Steps magazine. During a fun packed day, the children learned lots of interesting facts about the site as well as visiting the Aquatic Centre and the Velodrome. And they still made it back to school in time for the disco...
