Weekly Golden Book Winners

Every week, teachers identify 2 outstanding pupils in their class who have had a fantastic week either academically or socially or both! These pupils are entered into the Golden Book and are announced during our Friday morning celebration assembly. Our fabulous winners in the infants receive a certificate in assembly and parents of the 'golden' children in the juniors receive a letter home, informing parents of their child's fantastic achievement.

Christmas Concerts

Congratulations to all the children who have taken part in Hilldene's Christmas concerts over the past few weeks. From Nursery to Year 6, all the children gave fantastic performances and should be very proud of themselves.

The youngest members of our school community, the Nursery children, hosted a festive sing-a-long with their parents and carers.  There wasn't a dry eye in the house when the children in Reception classes beautifully performed their version of the nativity. Children in Year 1 and 2 professionally performed Whoops a Daisy Angel, the tale of a clumsy angel with a heart of gold. Years 3 and 4 hot footed it up the catwalk in their production of The Stars are Coming Out for Christmas; whilst children in Years 5 and 6 sang sweetly, rapped rhythmically and narrated clearly the Christmas story.

Thank you to all the staff and to the parents for your fantastic support, which is greatly appreciated!

 

Havering Catering Services are offering a special 'January Treat' menu on Thursday 15th January. 

 

For Reception and Key Stage 1 pupils, schools dinners are now free - even on special menu days. For Years 3-6, school lunch tickets are £2.10 (drinks 30p) and can be purchased in school or via Debit or Credit Card through the Parent Pay line on 01708 433119.
