Year 5 have been preparing for Sports Day this year by competing in a wide-variety of sporting activities in a bid to seeing how prepared they are for the big day next week. Relay races, football dribbling, balancing races and the traditional throwing a ball into a bucket competition. The children were able to direct others to where they needed to be in order for each competition to run smoothly, whilst also being able to identify the winning teams.
Whilst this was a chance for the children to have fun and compete with and against each other, it enabled them to develop their skills of communication and organisation, as well as their team building skills too.
