Year 6 - celebrate Maths day

Monday 5 February 2018

On maths day Year 6 focused on the tetrahedron, aka the triangular based pyramid. We investigated its properties, including its edges, vertices, angles and faces. Using protractors we were able to construct nets and using art straws we created some impressive 3D models.
In literacy we were able to get creative and made some very imaginative wanted posters. The naughty tetrahedron's crimes varied from bullying the unfortunate triangle for not having as many faces to blinding poor Mrs Sphere with his sharp vertices! A fun, shape filled day was had by all! (Except for Mrs Sphere and the triangles)
