Despite the freezing cold conditions, 1M braved the elements this morning to take part in their first Balance Bike training session. As well as learning how to fasten their own helmets and get on and off a bike safely, the children had great fun riding their bikes like giraffes and frogs!

We have been writing our own stories based on the book ‘The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch’. We know that it is important to check our work, therefore we have been learning how to proof read. We enjoyed listening to all the different stories and improving our work.

Too much sugar is bad for children's health as it can lead to the build-up of harmful fat on the inside that we can't see. This fat can cause weight gain and serious diseases like type 2 diabetes, which people are getting younger than ever before. Having too much sugar can also cause painful tooth decay, and every ten minutes, a child in England has a tooth removed.
When your child brings home their change for life booklet, check out the back page for some useful information, a 'sugar swaps' chart you can put on your fridge, and some tasty recipes.
