Weekly Attandance Update
Monday, 30 September 2019
Congratulations to all the classes who met our 96% attendance target last week. Thank you to all parents for your continued support in getting your child/children to school each day.
2A - Library Visit
In Year 2, we visit the school library every Friday afternoon. The children get
the opportunity to choose a book and share it with their family at home. We
encourage the children to bring their books back each week to exchange it for a
new one. The children enjoy picking their own books and exploring the library
setting.
Jump Evolution
Congratulations to all pupils who enjoyed an afternoon at Jump Evolution on Friday. A very well earned reward for achieving 100% attendance over the course of the last academic year 2018-2019.
Pupils had a fantastic time bouncing, playing and braving the new inflatable assault course.
The pupils were a credit to our school in the way that they conducted themselves at the venue and out on our streets when walking to and from the trampoline park. We hope to see them all again, and many more, to celebrate 100% attendance this time next year. Keep up the good work.

Year 2 - The Gingerbread Man
Following on from our literacy topic, we decorated our own gingerbread men. It
was lots of fun describing our gingerbread men using adjectives whilst making
them. The best part about making our gingerbread men was definitely eating
them! We had a lovely Friday afternoon and enjoyed eating them whilst listening
to the story of the gingerbread man.
Bike to School Week
As was mentioned on the newsfeed previously, this week saw pupils riding to school as part of Bike to School Week. Despite some horrendous weather conditions, a number of our pupils still decided to ride their bikes to school, a fantastic effort!
Any initiative that helps reduce the number of children travelling to school by car must be applauded and will be supported by the school - keep up the good work everyone!
