Year 1 - Visit the secret garden

After a busy first week in Year 1, children in all three classes enjoyed some fresh air, visiting the shaded area of the secret garden and listening to their favourite stories with their class teachers. Without a doubt, all children have settled smoothly into the new routines; enjoying working with numbers 0-20 in maths lessons and writing amazing sentences using adjectives to describe what is in ‘Billy’s bucket’ in literacy lessons! Next week, phonic lessons begin... so remember to get reading over the weekend in preparation!
