On
Thursday afternoon a team of mathematicians from years 2, 4 and 5 visited
Broadford Primary School to be introduced to the 'Count On Us' challenge.
The children were taught how to play a game called 24.
The aim of
this game was to find a way of using the 4 numbers on a card to reach the
answer 24. Each of the four operations could be used but each number
could only be used once. Some of the cards were very challenging.
The
children will now show their classmates how to play this game and begin
practising for the cluster school competition in the summer term.
