Year 1 - Healthy Week

It's healthy week in Hilldene and we all know what that means, make sure we eat 5 portions of fruit and vegetables every day. 1D were very excited as they had the chance to make a smoothie but not just an ordinary smoothie. All of us had to peel, cut and put bananas into a jug where Miss Dhillon and Mrs Courtney had to cycle to make our drink. Strawberries and apple juice were added to make it taste delicious. Some of us thought our teachers should have worked a bit harder by cycling faster so we could drink more in order for us to be healthier. Maybe next time!! 1D learnt that there are 14 cubes of sugar in a bottle of drink and we are only allowed 6 cubes of sugar a day. We were shocked! Most of us do have healthy snacks but we must also exercise to balance our diet and to keep us fit!
