In Year 5, we have been working incredibly hard with
division. We have taken the lessons slow where we do a practical session before
the written work. This has benefitted the children as more children were able
to explain the reason the method was used.
They were even able to explain in sentences what the
question is asking them to do. When it came to the written work, all the Year 5
team were amazed with the children's independence and understanding of the
question.
