On Wednesday, Year 2 went to visit the book bus and had lots of fun. The children found it really exciting to explore the various different books and share a love for reading with their peers.

Reception & KS1- Science Day Workshop

Titanic Tom came to school on Friday for a science workshop and we had lots of fun. He taught us all about electricity, gravity and transferring materials from solids into liquids. We really enjoyed taking part in the different experiments and learning about his job as a scientist.

Year 2- Science Day

We are scientists! We had a fantastic day for Science Day and participated in lots of experiments and activities. We created our own creatures and determined whether we could camouflage them on the playground and field. After a busy morning we made our own boats and tested to see whether they could float and hold weight. We also really enjoyed making slime in the afternoon and discovering the different consistencies that would occur with different amounts of ingredients.

1D - Amazing Attendance

1D were very excited to achieve their amazing attendance not once but twice since September. They have set themselves another challenge and that is to achieve the amazing attendance for the third time before they break up for the summer. Well done!!​

Golden Book Winners

Every week, teachers identify 2 outstanding pupils in their class who have had a fantastic week either academically or socially or both! These pupils are entered into the Golden Book and are announced during our Friday morning celebration assembly. Our fabulous winners in the infants receive a
certificate in assembly and parents of the 'golden' children in the juniors receive a letter home, informing parents of their child's fantastic achievement.

Year 2- Maths

We have been learning about 2D shapes and their properties. It was lots of fun learning the shape names and counting the sides and vertices. Once we knew the shape names we practised drawing the different shapes. It was really important that we took our time and used a ruler.
