Nursery - Mystery Eggs

Friday, 28 June 2019

Just before Easter the nursery children took part in an Easter egg hunt, whilst they were outside hunting for eggs the Easter Bunny came into the nursery and dropped off two giant sparkly eggs he had found. We didn’t know what was inside, or how long they would take to hatch. The grown-ups took the eggs home over the Easter holidays and took care of them, but there was no sign of any creatures.

After our return from the eater holidays they eggs began to slowly crack, inside we found two baby dragons, we decided to name them Raa-Raa and Puff. We didn’t know where their mummy was, so we decided we needed to care for them. They were fed every day with special dragon food and given lots of love by the children. One day, a couple of weeks ago we came in to nursery to find that their mummy had returned and they had gone back to dragon land to meet the rest of their family. We found a lovely letter from mummy dragon, saying thank you for looking after her babies.

We hope to hear from them soon!
