On 25th March, we hosted the annual KS1 Music Festival. Our junior hall was bursting at the seams with hundreds of children from local schools - Brookside, Broadford, St Ursula's, Mead, Pyrgo and of course ours. We also had lots of important visitors such as Councillor Eric Munday (The Mayor of Havering), Mr Grifiths from Havering Music School and some of our School Governors.
We had a great time singing 6 joint songs all about 'Animals'. Each school also performed their own song. Hilldene sang a song called 'Home' which is all about animals and their habitats. We used British Sign Language signs in our song, played instruments and wore hats with different animals on them. We have been very busy getting ready!
It was a fantastic morning and we had lots of fun singing altogether. It ended perfectly with a cup of orange squash and a biscuit!
If you are a Year 2 parent, you are invited to come and listen to us perform the songs to you on Wednesday 2nd April at 2.30pm. It would be lovely to see you all.
