Year 6 Leavers celebrate and commiserate!

Wednesday, 23 July 2014

Emotions ran high this week as pupils, staff and parents celebrated the last days of term with mixed feelings. Children and staff were excited to break up for the Summer Holidays but we also had to say a fond farewell to Year 6 pupils leaving for secondary school and staff retiring or leaving for new jobs.

An inspirational Leavers' Assembly found Year 6 reminiscing about their time at our school that included many memorable moments. After all the emotion, a delicious lunch of burgers, pizza and chicken (chosen by the pupils)was served to Year 6 pupils by the staff who have worked with them all year.

It's always difficult to say goodbye but we're so proud of the progress that the children have made academically and socially in their time at Hilldene.
Good luck Year 6!
