Year 6 - A day at Duxford

Thursday, 25 June 2015

On Wednesday Year 6 went to Duxford Imperial War Museum. Dressed as evacuees, the enthusiastic children were able to get hands on experience of real World War II artefacts and talk to experts.

The weather was fantastic and the wide range of activities ensured that there was something of interest for everyone. Bombs were disposed of safely, uniforms were modelled and sirens were sounded. Responding quickly to the gas attack sirens was a lot of fun as we all ensured that we could put on our gas masks quickly and efficiently.

Not only was the day extremely enjoyable we think everyone, including the adults, learnt something too!
